He has been graduated from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh and got his Masters in Science in Pharmacology grading A+ (First class with distinction).He also obtained Diploma in Educational Planning and Administration from International Institute of Educational Planning and Administration from New Delhi, India.. A Member of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) 1982 Batch. He has started his career as Magistrate and served as Assistant Commissioner, Upazilla Magistrate, Assistant Director, Local Government, Secretary Zilla Parishad, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Senior Assistant Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Additional Director, Directorate of Accommodation.

He has been promoted as Deputy secretary to the Government in 2003.Then he has served as Director, Directorate of Accommodation; Director, Directorate of Primary Education and Director, Directorate of Family Planning.

He has also served as Deputy secretary to Finance Division. He has been posted as counselor in the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and performed his duties very successfully on behalf of the country.

He has performed duties/participated in different training courses in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, China, Australia etc.

He has acquired national level award as the best Upazilla Nirbahi Offcer of the country for outstanding contribution in the field of non-formal education. He also acquired ITEC fellowship for International Diploma. He has some publications too.

He is married and proud father of a daughter and a son.
